Pilot Terms

A T.HESIS pilot is a paid, 30-day evaluation of the platform. It starts after we talk, you pay for it by an invoice or payment link we send you, and it never renews or turns into a subscription on its own. These terms are part of the T.HESIS Terms of Service.

Day 30
The pilot ends and access stops, unless we have agreed on an annual contract.

1. The pilot

A pilot is a paid, 30-day period of access to the Service for your organization, with the seats and features we agree beforehand. There is no free trial. We offer pilots after a conversation with you. We create your account, or we invite your people to it. You cannot start a pilot by signing up on your own.

2. Pilot fee

The pilot fee is agreed before the pilot starts and is shown on the invoice or payment link we send you. Taxes are not included unless the invoice says they are. We may start your access when we receive payment, or earlier if we say so in writing. [CONFIRM: refund terms for the pilot fee.]

3. Credit toward an annual contract

If you sign an annual contract with us, we credit the pilot fee you paid against the fees for your first year. The credit applies once, to the first-year fees only. It is not paid out in cash, it does not apply to renewals, and it appears on your first annual invoice. [CONFIRM: how long after the pilot ends the credit stays available.]

4. No automatic renewal or conversion

The pilot ends on its end date. It does not renew, and it does not convert to a subscription or an annual plan on its own. We do not charge any card automatically at the end of the pilot, and we do not keep a payment card on file for the pilot. You move to an annual contract only when you and we both agree and you accept an order or invoice for it.

5. Extending the pilot

We may agree to extend your pilot. An extension is agreed by email before the end date, and any extra fee is agreed at the same time. Without an agreed extension, access stops on the end date.

6. The reminder email

About five days before the pilot ends, which is day 25 of a 30-day pilot, we email your organization's admins. The email says when the pilot ends and asks you to talk to us about next steps. It does not charge you and it does not contain a payment link.

7. When the pilot ends

Access to the Service stops on the end date. We do not delete your data automatically when a pilot ends. To get a copy of your uploaded files, or to have your data deleted, email billing@thesisportal.com and we will handle the request. [CONFIRM: how long we keep data from an ended pilot.]

8. Other terms that apply

The Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Customer Data Ownership and Security terms apply to your pilot. If they conflict with this page about the pilot's length, fee, credit, or renewal, this page controls.

9. Billing questions

If a charge looks wrong, email billing@thesisportal.com within 60 days. We respond within 10 business days.
