Credit Committee
The internal governance body — typically senior lending or credit officers — that reviews and approves loan originations, renewals, and material credit decisions before they close.
Credit committee meetings typically review the same core package for every credit: underwriting summary, stress-tested scenarios, covenant structure, and any exceptions to standard policy. Consistency of that package across analysts and PMs is usually the single biggest driver of how efficiently a committee meeting runs.
